GraphXR 3.11.0 Release Notes

Release Date: December 10, 2025

This release strengthens authentication and privacy controls, introduces safer database management actions, and improves the GraphXR API for programmatic use. Several UI and query-related bugs are resolved, making everyday workflows more reliable.

Internal developers benefit from an optional in-memory MongoDB backend, configurable BrowserSync ports, and added automation and git tooling.

In a GraphXR project, click the Kineviz logo at the bottom left, choose About, then click on the current release tag for a digest of features introduced in current and past releases.

Usability Enhancements

  • DataStore tab (GXR-3483): Improved DataStore tab and legend styling; Hid Save to Neo4j when the database type is not Neo4j.

  • Safer database deletion (GXR-3476): Replaced the visible Delete Database button with an Empty Database button and moved the destructive delete action into a collapsed section.

  • Renamed internal data store (GXR-3477): Kuzu UI references changed to Internal Data Store for clarity and consistency.

  • Confirmation modal improvements (GXR-3475): Home and Logout confirmation modals refactored for more consistent and reliable user experience.

  • Query Bar property specification (GXR-3445): The Query Bar now surrounds property identifiers with backticks to improve query robustness and compatibility.

Administration, Security, Configuration, and Deployment Enhancements

  • PostHog Session Replay consent (GXR-3471): Added a user consent modal before enabling PostHog Session Replay and removed unnecessary logging from session-masking logic.

  • MIT: Fix SAML login regression (GXR-3490): Restored SAML login compatibility for MITLL by reverting to a stable SAML library.

  • MIT Docker image updates (GXR-3468): Updated the custom MIT GraphXR Dockerfile to Node.js 22 and fixed related build issues.

GraphXR API

  • Deprecated gxr.add() and updated API reference (GXR-3467): gxr.add()is deprecated in favor of gxr.addNode, gxr.addNodes, gxr.addEdge, and gxr.addEdges.

Bug Fixes

  • GraphXR API screenshot behavior (GXR-3303): The GUI is restored correctly after taking screenshots via the GraphXR API.

  • Node extract visibility fix (GXR-3474): Extracted nodes remain visible even when they share the same values across properties with different names.
